Roaman’s
These are all top notch sellers and designers. Check them out nxt time you are looking for a flirty cocktail number, chic little evening suit, or even a princess to the ball gown. Let’s take a look a couple of fashions that might please your tastes.
As far as length goes cocktail dresses can be as short as the line of your thigh to those that actually skim the floor. I think you’ll find that the most flattering hemline ends at right about knee height. What is becoming popular nowadays are fashions influenced by those of the 1950s, what with all the lace and beading. A-lines are coming back into style too. How about a couple of sleek little black plus size cocktail dresses for your ensemble?
If you like wearing sleeveless dresses you can pep them up with a nice bolero jacket or perhaps a cardigan for the extra touch of class and style. Add an open toe pump and you are good to go!
Let’s say you get invited to a formal affair where he has to wear his tux. Obviously you’ll want a full length gown. You’ll look better if you avoid all the bows and ruffles and pick a more classic look. Now, you could add a little extra flair by donning some interesting jewelry or a colorful wrap. To cap off this look, pick an evening sandal or perhaps a pair of satin pumps.
As far as those less formal occasions, like an after work party, you want something that can carry you from office to office party, look for a nice tailored suit, black is a great color here as well. Full figured gals just look great in a tailored with thin lapels and a nip at the waist. And if you want to flaunt what you’ve got, leave it unbuttoned to show off that sexy camisole.
So, as you prepare for your social season, know that there are many beautiful cocktail dresses for plus size women. Our time has come!
Choosing The Best Plus Size Coats For You
Date: Saturday May 14, 2011Posted in: plus size coats, plus size winter coats
Larger women have learned to revel in their big beautiful bodies, and it is about time too. We no longer have to be a slave to the wafer thin runway models that the fashion industry used to cram down our necks (and still do if truth be told). Let those petite things have their anorexia and guilt complexes for eating that tiny square of chocolate. I’m not saying gorge yourself on the latest Swiss confection, but don’t fall for that Madison Avenue hype either.
It is easy these days to find plus size coats that will flatter your own personal shape. This little guide is for you to, hopefully, make your purchase a little easier. First off, dress for the season. You can pretty much get away with having just two coats if you prefer (but really, who wants just two coats?) You can one for spring/summer and another for fall/winter.
For the warmer seasons try to pick up something lightweight. I know everyone says plus size women should stay away from lighter colors but I think this is nonsense, particularly with a lightweight jacket Avoid anything bulky as it has a tendency to bunch up. Something that falls just below the hips, perhaps with a waist belt would look very pretty. This where a light tan or a khaki can really spice things up.
Jackets are generally less expensive than plus size coats, so you may want to purchase one that can be used in many business and social occasions. The same coat can be just as attractive in one setting as another. While I mentioned above that you shouldn’t avoid lighter colors, with a coat you might prefer a navy or brown. Black is always in fashion but don’t be bound by it…live a little!
You need to let your best assets dictate your purchase just the same as any other piece of clothing.
- Are you a little bigger in the hips? Then try a coat that has a cute flair at the bottom.
- Are you looking for lighter fabric that is less bulky yet still looks stylish? How about leather. Leather never goes out a fashion and every body looks great in it.
- If you are proud of those curves, try a plus size coat made of wool, wool blend, cashmere, or cotton. After all, you want people to know that there is a beautiful woman underneath those plus size coats.
